US President Joe Biden signed an order to free 7 billion US Dollars in Afghan assets now frozen in the U.S. The money will be split between humanitarian aid for poverty-stricken Afghanistan and a fund for September, 11 victims.

Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma flagged off Six Specialized Mobile Vaccination Units at Tura Civil Hospital, Tura, West Garo Hills district in collaboration with the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The mobile vaccination initiative is to administer vaccines to marginalised communities that have limited access to vaccination centres and hard to reach areas.
