International News:
Nepal will become the first country outside of India to adopt Unified Payments Interface (UPI) as the payments platform in the Himalayan nation.

World Day of Social Justice is observed every year on 20th February. World Day of Social Justice 2022 theme is “Achieving Social Justice through Formal Employment”. World Day of Social Justice is observed to promote social justice.
National News:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated “Gobar-Dhan (Bio-CNG) Plant” in Indore. The plant has a capacity to treat 550 tonnes per day of segregated wet organic waste. It is expected to produce around 17,000 kg per day of CNG, and 100 tonnes per day of organic compost.
Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers (RCF) will set up a production plant that will produce one lakh 50 thousand bottle Nano urea per day. The plant will cost around 150 crore rupees. 20 lakh metric tonne Nano urea will be produced in RCF which will replace the conventional urea.

India won the right to host the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session 2023 in Mumbai during the 139th IOC session that was held in Beijing, China, on the sidelines of the Winter Olympics. This will be the second time India hosts an IOC session, having done so in 1983 in New Delhi.
