Every year on 4 February people across the world observe World Cancer Day in order to create awareness, inspire change and reduce the global impact of cancer. The theme of World Cancer Day 2022 is ‘Close the Care Gap’. The Union of International Cancer Control (UICC) has declared World Cancer Day to be a “global uniting initiative.”
As on 31/01/2022, a total of 21,86,918 farmers are enrolled in Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojna (PMKMY). Under this scheme, provision has been made for payment of a minimum fixed pension of Rs. 3,000/- to the eligible small and marginal farmers, subject to certain exclusion clauses, on attaining the age of 60 years. The Scheme is a voluntary and contributory pension scheme, with entry age of 18 to 40 years.
The Central Government has decided to continue the Scheme of “Rashtriya Yuva Sashaktikaran Karyakram, RYSK” for another five years from 2021 -22 to 2025-26 with an outlay of over 2,710 crore rupees. The Rashtriya Yuva Sashaktikaran Karyakram Scheme is the flagship Central Sector Scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Uttar Pradesh has been selected as the best state tableau among 12 States and UTs which participated in the Republic Day parade 2022. The tableau of Uttar Pradesh was based on the theme ‘One District One Product and Kashi Vishwanath Dham. A total of 12 States and Union Territories have participated during the Republic Day parade.
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) contingent has been adjudged as the ‘best marching contingent’ amongst all paramilitary forces and other auxiliary marching contingents that took part in Republic Day-2022 parade at Rajpath.
This is the seventh time that the CISF Contingent has won the “Best Marching Contingent” award. Earlier CISF contingent was adjudged Best Marching Contingent in 2007, 2008, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2020.
Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) tableau is selected as the best central ministry tableau for Republic Day 2022. The tableau of Ministry of Civil Aviation showcased Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) – UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) and the rich dividends it has been yielding.
The Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India under its “Waste to Wealth” Mission has announced the “Swachhta Saarthi Fellowship 2022. Its aim is to empower young innovators who are engaged in community work of waste management as Swachhta Saarthis and implement actions to reduce waste for a greener planet.
As on 31st December 2021, 1000 mandis of 18 States and 03 Union Territories have been integrated with e-NAM platform. More than 1.72 Crore farmers and 2 lakh traders have registered themselves on e-NAM platform.
