Stage 1 – Written Examination (Computer-Based Test)

✅ Mode: Online (CBT)

✅ Type: Objective (MCQs)

✅ Total Questions: 120 (1 mark each)

✅ Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)

✅ Negative Marking: – 0.25 mark for every wrong answer

✅ Language: Bilingual – English & Hindi

Only those who score the above minimum marks are shortlisted for interview in the ratio of 1 : 5 (discipline-wise and category-wise).


Stage 2 – Personal Interview

✅ Carried out in person or through online mode (if required).

✅ Evaluates: subject expertise, communication skills, situational judgement, and awareness of NPCIL’s mission.

✅ Marks allotted on a 100-point scale (by Interview Board).


Final Merit List Preparation

✅ Written Exam Weightage – 50 %

✅ Interview Weightage – 50 %

➡️ Both scores are normalized to a common scale and combined to form the final merit.

➡️ In case of a tie, candidates with higher professional marks and then older age are ranked higher.


Post-Selection Formalities

Provisionally selected candidates must undergo Document Verification and Medical Fitness Test before final appointment.

Appointment letters are issued only after completion of verification and clearance by NPCIL’s competent authority.
