CGPDTM Patent Examiner Application Fee 2024

There will be an examination fee of ₹1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) for candidates belonging to General category and OBC category. For candidates belonging to SC /ST category, PWD/ Differently abled (PH) category and women applicants (from all categories) and any other person, the examination fee shall be ₹500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only).

CGPDTM intends to recruit Examiners of Patents and Designs, General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) in Level 10 in Pay Matrix (₹ 56,100 – 1,77,500) plus applicable allowances, as admissible, in the Government of India.

The CGPDTM selection process involves three phases as follows:

i. Preliminary Examination for screening of candidates for the mains examination.

ii. Mains Examination for shortlisting of candidates for Interview.

CGPDTM Patent Examiner Eligibility Criteria 2024

The candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Science (B.Sc) or Master Degree in Science (M.Sc), Bachelor Degree in Engineering (BE), or Bachelor Degree in Technology (B.Tech) from a recognized university or institution.

The minimum age limit is 21 years, and the maximum age limit is 35 years. However, age relaxations may apply for candidates belonging to certain categories (such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD) as per government norms.

The candidate must be a citizen of India.

CGPDTM Patent Examiner Cut Off 2024

CGPDTM Prelims examination conducted in ONLINE mode only., It consists of one paper of objective type multiple choice questions and will comprise of 150 marks. This examination will be of a duration of 2 hours.

The cumulative marks obtained in Paper-I and Paper-II will be assigned 80% weightage in the final list of qualified candidates.

The interview will be for 100 marks and will test the candidate on the topics covered in the preliminary and the Mains examination. The marks obtained in the interview will be given 20% weightage in the final list of qualified candidates.

CGPDTM Patent Examiner Admit Card 2024

The Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks administers the laws relating to Patents, Designs, Trade Marks & Geographical Indications of Goods in India.  This year CGPDTM released official notification for the post of Patent Examiner. Exam was conducted by NTA and total vacancies are 553. Generally NTA releases CGPDTM admit card on or 3 days before the examination date.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the CGPDTM Exam date 2023. CGPDTM Patent Officer prelims exam successfully conducted on 21st December 2023 (Thursday).CGPDTM Answer Keys 2023 released on 26th December 2023. CGPDTM Prelims Result 2024 declared on 10 January 2024. CGPDTM Mains Exam conducted on 25th January 2024 (Thursday). and 5th February 2024 (Monday). CGPDTM Mains Answer Key Released on 11th February 2024 (Sunday).

Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks (CGPDTM) Interview started on 1st April 2024 and and will be continued for till 27th April 2024 (tentatively). Candidates who already appeared in CGPDTM Interview are waiting for the final result.
