CGPDTM New Vacancy 2025 (Patent Examiner Jobs)
Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trademarks (CGPDTM) will announce the CGPDTM Patent Examiner Vacancy 2025 on the official website https://ipindia.gov.in/. Bookmark the article for all the details of CGPDTM Patent Examiner Vacancy 2025.
Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) Rajesh Kumar Singh said that patent filing has increased by ten times and trademark application filing by six times since 2016.
“We are trying to strengthen the capacity of our IPO to process these proliferation of applications. We are going to add 900 new positions for which recruitment is already underway in our patent office. CGPDTM Patent Examiner Vacancy 2024 (Patent Officer Exam) is going to be released soon.
CGPDTM Prelims Exam conducted on 21st December 2023 and CGPDTM Answer keys released on 26 December 2023, while CGPDTM Result for Prelims Exam was declared on 10th January 2024.
CGPDTM Mains Exam conducted on 25th January 2024 (Thursday). and 5th February 2024 (Re-Exam) (Monday). CGPDTM Mains Answer Key Released on 11th February 2024 (Sunday). CGPDTM Result 2024 will be released by 3rd Week of March 2024. The process of the Interview will start on 01 April 2024 (tentatively) and will be continued for a period of the next 25 days (tentatively).

CGPDTM Patent Examiner Recruitment 2024: The Preliminary Exam (Phase 1) and Mains Examination (Paper I and Paper II) i.e. Phase 2 have already been conducted. The process of evaluation of Descriptive answer booklets (Mains Paper II) is in process.
As soon as the evaluation is completed, the results of the Mains Examination (Paper I and Paper II) will be declared by the third week of March 2024. The cumulative marks obtained in Paper-I and Paper-II will be assigned 80% weightage in the final list of qualified candidates.
The process of the Interview will start on 01 April 2024 (tentatively) and will be continued for a period of the next 25 days (tentatively). The interview will be for 100 marks and will test the candidate on the topics covered in the preliminary and the Mains examination. The marks obtained in the interview will be given 20% weightage in the final list of qualified candidates.
The medium of examination for preliminary and mains examination as well as interview shall be English only.

CGPDTM Prelims examination conducted in ONLINE mode only., It consists of one paper of objective type multiple choice questions and will comprise of 150 marks. This examination will be of a duration of 2 hours.
